More Amritsar

It was such a beautifully overcast day; gorgeous weather -- perfect to go see the Golden Temple.
And the water, so peaceful.

P.S. And, that's Friday's taken care of.

PIllared

I didn't take my camera along for the Delhi trip I made early last year. So when a very-last-minute-plan to head to Amritsar popped up I used my companion's point and shoot during the trip.

At the Golden Temple, Amritsar. Like how the man and the columns seem so in sync.

P.S. Didn't post on Thursday because other manic running around, so this is Thurday's.

You are in queue

Gandhiji overseeing work at the office of the Chail Forest Rest House, Himachal. I think he's smiling because he's happy at the proceedings. I can vouch for the nice man there too :)

All creatures great and small

Ok, so I couldn't resist :P It was just too trippy to fiddle with this in Picasa slightly ;)
From our apartment living room wall, whose tubelight attracted the most diverse array of flitting, crawling and flying creatures in the neighbourhood. I love how its translucent wings look against the textured wall.

Poochis for kitteh :)

New Years Eve

31st Dec, 2006, Edinburgh.  The view from my window. A dreary, wet, winter's night. Wild winds 80+ mph cancelled the Hogmanay celebrations as well. Boy am I glad to be back in the Southern Hemisphere :)

But, that band of light makes it so much better. Hope is so pwetty.

Royal Botanical Gardens

at Edinburgh, on a June afternoon.

Happy new year

January 1st, 2010. 5:25 pm sunset at Chail, Himachal Pradesh. That warm glow is for real -- untouched and unfiddled with. It filled up the entire valley radiating orangeish-red as the sun slowly sank away.

P.S. Again, Mungi's net died last night, so this is technically yesterday's post.

The Big Bad Border

Mungi's net died last night so she couldn't post. So now she is hurriedly doing so before running to get ready for worrrrrrk.

Point and shoot shot taken on the most beautiful 20 km walk along a coastal route from England into Scotland. As subject title indicates this was the point of the crossover. One scramble and a hop down and we switched countries :)

Scotland diaries

This photo pretty much sums it all up -- the quintessential Scottish skies and indecisive clouds.
Another one off ze point and shoot.
